iBreviary F.A.Q.
- How can you change the language of iBreviary?
- Go to " Configuration ". Now select the desired language (sliding your
finger on the switch). Now you can return to sections of the liturgy.
- How do I change the menu language of iBreviary?
- iBreviary uses the language of the system (device settings). Then go
to Settings-> International-> Language and select the desired
language.
- I am leaving on a trip and I will not have access to the Internet. How
do I upload the texts for the next few days?
- Please follow these instructions to upload the texts. Go to the
section "Configuration". Now you select the day you want to save using
"SELECT DAY". At this point the day will begin loading (I always
recommend that you wait depending on the speed of your connection),
and then you can Êreturn to liturgy section. Now you will see the new
day. If you want to return Êto the current day, go the Ê'Days
Available' and load the current day. PS This feature is not yet
supported by devices using the Android operating system.
- The texts on iBreviary are too small and I can not read them. Can I
change the text size?
- Certainly. To change the size, just use the "pinch-to-zoom" feature.
To increase the size, Êmove your fingers apart on the screen. To
decrease the size, move your fingers together on the screen.
- How do you erase a day from the stored memory of iBreviary?
- To delete the saved days, go to the 'Settings' menu, then 'Days
Available', and then simply slide your finger from right to left on
the day you wish to delete. At the end click on the word DELETE.
- The Êmenu language displays correctly, but the date and day of the
week are not in my language. How do I change this?
- iBreviary uses the language of the system (device settings). Go to
Settings-> International-> Format and select the regional language.
- Are all the texts of the Liturgy of the Hours and the Missal contained
in iBreviary?
- Unfortunately, no. iBreviary was created with the aim of providing the
texts of the Breviary and the Missal through two types of downloads:
for a specific day or the week. Every day downloaded is automatically
stored in your iPhone / iPad unlimited space (therefore, we advise you
to periodically delete the days that you no longer use.
To select the saved day, go to the "Settings" - "Days available" or
ÒWeekÓ and then select the desired day. PS. not yet available for
Android or the mobile version.
- Is iBreviary 'only available in Italian or is it available in other
languages as well?
- iBreviary is available in Italian, French, English, Spanish and
Romanian. A version of the Ambrosian rite and the Vetus Ordo (under
expansion) is also available ÊTo change the language, follow these
instructions: Go to "Configuration"-- "Language". Now select the
desired language. Change the language, wait for the texts to load, and
then return to the liturgy section.
- How does the "Today" button work?
- Compared to the previous version, the button "Today" has some
significant changes. Pressing this button will download the texts of
the day, even if they are already on the device Ê- thus, if you only
want to select the current day , it is necessary to use the day from
"Settings". The new "Today" / " Update" button downloads the texts of
the current day in the presence of internet connection (if the current
day is already present, it will be overwritten).
